Spring Orientation Housing

When:

January 1st - 9th, 2020

Location:

Best Western Plus University Park Inn and Suites

Located on 2500 South University Boulevard, Ames, Iowa, 50010. Contact the hotel with any questions or concerns at +1-515-296-2500.

Cost:

Room prices vary based on preferences (see below). For two - four person rooms, students (without guests) should expect to share the room with other incoming students. Prices outlined below are only available during Orientation Housing (January 1 - 9th, 2020).

*Rooms have two Queen sized beds. Guests in three - four person rooms will be expected to share a bed. 

Cancellation:

If students are needing to cancel their room reservation at the Best Western Hotel, please let ISSO know by emailing temphousing@iastate.edu no later than December 20, 2019. Students wanting to cancel their reservations after December 20, 2019, may recieve extra charges to their bill.

Family Accommodations:

Family members who accompany students to Ames, Iowa, will need to make arrangments to stay a Best Western Hotel with their student or make their own hotel reservations in the City of Ames.

Dining Options

On-Campus Dining:

Locations and hours are limited during winter break. Please check ISU Dining's website to find more detailed information.

Off-Campus Dining:

Several restaurants and cafes are located throughout the City of Ames.

Move-Out to Permanent Housing:

January 9th, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

For students in orientation housing, residence halls will allow students to move-in on January 9, 2020. All students in orientation housing will need to move out of orientation housing to their permanent housing (either on-campus or off-campus housing) on January 9, 2020.
