Student Appointments

Instructions

ISSO is now using the campus appointment system through Navigate. Schedule an appointment with your International Student Advisor, assigned by college and/or major, by following the appropriate link below: 

Incoming Students

Incoming students are able to schedule an appointment in Navigate, but must first activate their Net-ID. Please see these instructions (See "Account Set Up I: Your Net-ID" tab) on how to activate your NetID. After activating your Net-ID, please allow one business day before scheduling an appointment in Navigate.

Late Arrivals

Students who arrive more than 10 minutes late will need to reschedule their appointment. 

Phone Appointments

For phone appointments, schedule your appointment using the instructions above. At the time of your appointment, please call 515-294-1120 to speak with the International Student Advisor.

CPT or OPT Appointments

Students scheduling an appointment to discuss curricular practical training (CPT), optional practical training (OPT), or STEM OPT extension must first attend the respective workshop in Cystart prior to the appointment. 

Tax Questions

International Student Advisors do not advise on taxes. Please review this tax resource or visit the College of Business Vitatax for tax support.

If you experience difficulties scheduling your appointment through EAB, please follow these more detailed instructions. Anyone who does not have access to EAB can email isso@iastate.edu to schedule an appointment with an International Student Advisor. 

ISSO Quick Advising

Schedule:

Monday through Friday

1 -3 p.m. 

Instructions:

Call 515-294-1120 or walk-in to speak with an International Student Advisor. Depending on demand, your name will be added to the queue and you will be contacted when it is your turn. Quick advising is designed for short questions. For longer conversations, students are encouraged to schedule an appointment with your International Student Advisor. 

Scholar Appointments

Advising appointments for scholars or their dependents can be made by emailing issoscholar@iastate.edu.
