What is English Together?

Want to improve your English? English Together gives international students, scholars, and community members opportunities to improve their English through conversation, games, and topics of interest led by Conversation Leaders. Join any English Together session that fits your schedule simply by registering below to receive a Webex Link.

Get Involved

Would you like to be a Conversation Leader?

If you are an English speaker interested in working with our program, you can sign up to be a Conversation Leader.  As a Conversation Leader, you are able to form connections with international students and scholars, learn about various cultures and perspectives, and help others improve their English. You will be required to attend training events, track attendance, and will be provided with support and resources from ISSO. It is a fun and rewarding experience!  


English Together Conversation Leader Meeting 

In order to get the semester started, we need passionate volunteer Conversation Leaders to work with our many international conversation members in English Together sessions! 
Conversation Leaders will help facilitate the program with assistance from the International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO). ISSO will provide all the necessary guidance and weekly resources to lead the sessions. Conversation Leaders need to be fluent in English.

When: Thursday, February 9th 4–5PM
Where: International Nest, Parks Library 0034

Would you like to be a volunteer English Conversation Partner?

If you have a busy schedule but want to help others with their English, consider becoming an English Conversation Partner! As a Conversation Partner, you can drop by and participate in any sessions that fit your schedule. English Together is a great way to welcome and form connections with international students and scholars. Through this connection, you will learn about various cultures and perspectives and help others to improve their English.
